My Windows has broken.
I've got a dual boot system, with Windows XP (Home) on the primary drive, and Linux (Debian) on the secondary. I use Linux almost all the time.
Yesterday I booted up into Windows to use one of the few apps I haven't got a Linux replacement for. My anti-virus software started to download the latest file, and suddenly failed catastrophically. It recommended that I should roll back to a previous version of the database, so I tried to do that. The whole thing ground to a halt, with the HD making sad little whirring noises.
I re-booted, and got a message saying Windows was corrupted, and I could try restoring from the install disk ...
So I booted into Debian, and ran a diagnostic on the primary disk from that. Basically, it's buggered.
So, I think I'll ditch Window$ altogether, and get a new hard disk to either extend my existing Linux, or possibly install some other distro on it.
It's curtains for Windows!!
