I need a replacement for this part on my Brompton 6-speed, as the thinner section under the washer has cracked. It's holding on, but only just. Does anyone know somewhere that has it in stock? It seems possible to order a set from Brompton UK but it isn't available on their German website. Does anyone know of a supplier that would send the items to Germany?

I'd be happy to post you one from the UK, if that helps Andy.

It would be sent the week after next cos I'm away next week.

Would have thought any of these nuts from SA hubs would suffice as a replacement, or at least be easily modified to fit.
Maybe I'm missing something here - often the case.

Do Brompton still use the Sturmey Archer 13/32 inch thread though? They've modified other dimensions on their version of the 3-speed hub.

Good point - Brommies are famed for using proprietary parts, but in this instance my guess is they still use the old legacy thread size, although can't be certain.

Would be interesting to know if anyone has the definitive answer, this part from the main stealer could have a huge, unnecessary markup.

Andy try Brilliant Bikes in Sunningdale, (Brompton dealer) Hannah and her team are excellent, best LBS I’ve ever dealt with.

Brilliant, thanks. I'll order them tonight.

Well, that went well. First, Bike24 showed a very old address as my "billing address" even though I'd deleted that from Paypal years ago. They wouldn't allow a second "delivery address". I set up a new account with my current billing address, and it decided that my long outdated address was now my separate "delivery address", and wouldn't let me change it.

And people ask why I don't trust things like online tickets, E-tickets, et c.

Eventually cut and pasted the German product name into a search engine and bought the parts at a different shop.

Bike shops are their own worst enemies

I did eventually hear from the Brompton dealer, but we couldn't find a time that worked for them in the last two weeks. His emails were along the lines of "I'm in the shop this afternoon", except that I don't generally have time to read private emails at work, so I'd get them hours too late. A shame as I've been to his shop and we get on well, and I try to send Brompton related business his way.
