Anyone who puts anything from a bottle whether brown, red, yellow or white, on anything I have cooked is liable to get the rest of the bottle contents over his or her head. Insults to the cook, the lot of them.

Same with a bacon butty, what's the point of buying locally reared salt marsh bacon, smoked in a small and sensitively managed coppice with only the finest tinder, before being lovingly packed, slice by dear little slice, then transported on fairy wings to the local and last remaining independent butcher in order to retain its delicate flavour, then smothered in some salt/sugar riddled sauce?
