browser question

I have a basic (some would say noobster basic) question that you might be able to help me with - I want to keep my web browser (firefox, win XP) visible while working with another application - not to have it minimise to the taskbar when I start using the app. Is this easy to do and if so how???

You could have two windows open side by side ? Click the double box next to the red X, then click and hold a corner to resize the window...
