Brrrrrr ;)

Anyone else noticed the marked drop in temps today/over last 24 hours ?

The windproof skull cap came out this morning after getting a cold head last night. Cycled in this morning to another site - windy and cold, then back to base at lunch - temps dropped again during the morning, and now it looks much colder for the return trip home now the skys have cleared. Gonna be a cold couple of days.......

I believe we are expecting sleet/snow over the weekend. Definately gone colder - expecially with the wind chill factor.

Oh .. and I have Friday legs AND it's a head wind ;)

Yep, our local weather here darn sarf have been warning about it coming for a few days .. apparently from a high of 14C yesterday, we're going to struggle to 8 or so today and then not get above 3C tomorrow, with a probable -3 overnight into Sunday. Which is darn chilly for us shandy drinkers I can tell yah.

I added an extra layer for the ride in and made sure I had my long trousers on hand for going home with. It was proper blowy on the way in as well, an annoying headwind-but-coming-from-about-45-degrees-to-the-left so it was moving me about quite a bit. Still, wind will be behind me going home .. ;)

No Friday legs this week - had mid week ones. Chased down a moped last night, and caught and passed a British Squad rider at lunchtime on the way to South Manchester...heh...heh....

No Friday legs this week

I had friday legs,my shirt was soaked with sweat,my anticipation and road positioning were well out,(made it difficult in heavy manic traffic)I was really dehydrated. It's been a learning curve here.

Don't mind the cold - I have the kit, but planning the clothing, before pulling out the thermal top - that will be out this weekend... gosh I love modern clothing technology......I remember the days going out in 4-5 layers, then getting damp or cold.

Now - sub zero in a base layer and 1 x thermal top, unzip to vent - warm and toasty.... bibs that have windproof patches over the knee and thigh...oh fabtastic....

Ouch - my lungs are still hurting from 2 hours ago it was so cold! The wind in Brum wasn't too good either and even Open Pros felt twitchy in crosswinds.

Yeah, I think I'll be utterly freezing tomorrow, working in the park. It's ok being toasty whilst riding, but when I stop and begin teaching on my skates, I'm putting out far less wattage. Time to take extra warm kit and put the windproofs on when I get there, methinks.
