I've dressed up this morning for the bike ride, went out side, but a stream of freezing wind blow me back home

It's actually was snowing here for about an hour, i thought i've made very wise decision just to stay home

I believe we are expecting sleet/snow over the weekend. Definately gone colder - expecially with the wind chill factor.

Oh .. and I have Friday Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday legs AND it's a head wind

Horrible commute home but the shower and brandy tot felt so much nicer! Very cold head wind with sleet. Usual twats on the road. Still .... curry is on the way!

Twas ok here in the Midlands this morning.
Left at 6.50am, Windy, Dark, Rainy, about 8 degrees. Had Shorts, T Shirt, Windproof jacket and Fingerless gloves.
Came home at 1.15pm and the temp had halved.

Went shopping tonight in the car and was freeeeeeezing.

There's a bloke I quite often pass on my commute and he always wears shorts no matter the temp but he does occasionally wear a jacket.

Well, I'm off out for a ride tomorrow morning. Looks like it could well be very cold up here though.

Looking forward to it, not been out for ages due to work stuff. Got a pair of those Pro Tarmac H20 overshoes to try out that arrived a few days ago too.

Think I'll take a route over the new Clackmannanshire Bridge that opened this week. If only to try and suss out the cycle paths alongside it. My usual commute takes me over that way over the old bridge and I drove over the new one today in the car for the first time trying to work out the new cycle path route.

From what I spotted it kinda goes like :-


Cycle path for 35m>>>>>>pile of dirt where cycle path should be>>>>>>cycle path for 40m>>>>>>ditch and some rocks where cycle path should be>>>>>>etc,etc........

Freezing here and staying fimly indoors just getting over a bad chest infection and the airways are still somewhat twitchy and annoyed with the whole situation

It's nothing near as cold as the UK out here at the moment but today will be long sleeved top and base layer, that's for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
