I recently replaced the pilestrip/brushes on my Crud Roadracers - (the originals got lost somewhere). However, I used some 8-9mm pilestrip, as I had a bit in the shed, instead of the recommended 5-6mm.
It rubs, only slightly on the rims. But not enough to cause any noticable drag or make a noise. Best of all is that it has kept my rims relatively clean.
Before I go and fit some to all of my rim-brake bikes, has anyone else done/noticed this? And is there a commercial product available - say for normal mudguards?
