Decided to stop prevaricating and go with my planned ride for this week, something a little easier than the last three .. It's the 19.67Km 944m climb of the Col d'Aubisque via the Col du Soulor.

Looks to be a climb of two parts, the average gradient of 4.8% belies the fact that it's actually a Hor Categorie climb!!

I'll save "Alpe d'Huez" mun for another time :evil::evil:

Post your times in the thread and I'll update the Goats League Spreadsheet

Please include your BRVR User/Display Name to give other riders pacers to chase if they so desire.

@Aleman

I've done this one before, but the challenge hadn't started then.

Thought I'd try smaller gears and a faster cadence. It sort of worked. Cadence was c. 8 rpm higher, the legs didn't get as tired, and the HR was higher than normal but still short of making me pant like a dog (just :sweat:). But the NP was 3 or 4% lower than usual, so it's clear that I can't pedal fast enough in smaller gears to make up for the reduction in power.

The question is: In future do I hurt my legs, or do I ride a bit slower? I mean, it's not like it's a race or anything :whistle:
