I'm having problems with trying to phone out ... sounds more like a modem than a dialing tone. If I trying ringing myself using a mobile I get the engaged tone. Internet access seems flaky but better than the phone.
Now yesterday they replaced a bit of the line just near our house and cut us off for a couple of hours whilst they did it.
No idea if I'm putting 2 and 2 together and making 4 or 5 but I would like them to test the line... but can't ring out on the house number and the number I've found on-line to report from a mobile is shown as:
There is something about reporting it online but you have to be not using the line that you are reporting... bit difficult from home with just the one line.
Is there anything else I could do myself? (I'm a technaphobe - my techy other half has busied out my call to him as he is in a meeting).
