BT Hub phone - 'great value' calls?

Just got my BT Hub phone and it says I can get 'great value' calls (starting with 7p connection on every call). What the...? I thought the whole point of making calls via the net was that they were free? Not 'great value' - free. Have I missed something?

You could use a software SIP client or SIP phone as long as BT haven't closed the ports...

Depends on the time of day. I am on the broadband 3 package which states all weekend and evening calls free. I think the clasify evening as starting at 6 but they are changing this to 7 soon
