Does anyone use it and what do you think of it?
I have had mine for 1 month now and I am very dissatisfied with it. It has crashed 4 times in a month and failed to record on two occasions. Everytime I phone up, they reboot it and assure me that "this time it won't crash again as it needs a bit of time to settle". What do they mean by that? Time to settle?
Please let me know how you get on with yours as I am about to cancel my contract with BT on the ground that "BT vision is not fit for the purpose".
Also BT vision does not support HD at the moment.

Ive only really heard bad things about it. Im on BT Infinity (110mbit FTTP version) so i think I can get it for next to nothing on top of the £50+ a month BT already bleeds me for, but its basically freeview with some bolted on overpriced stuff isnt it? I think if you want it for the sports channels etc youre better of going with Sky and saving the extra on cheaper broadband/phone.

I use virgin. Have had one problem with reception once in several years (HD reception on a couple of channels) and no internet issues for years (apart from I have to reboot my new 30Meg router/modem about once a month). Its a very good service. I've heard friends complain about the BT service but other friends have been ok.

There's a reason for that...

Being serious, STBs are something people gripe about with all companies. There are some users of BT vision here and they may or may not reply, but numbers aren't huge out there so you're less likely to get a reply. Plenty of stuff on DS about it.

I've had BT Vision for some years now and have had no technical problems, it has never 'crashed'.
I don't watch much tv so switch tv and box off at the wall every time rather than leave them on standby, this results in a few minutes delay after switch on before the picture appears which can be a bit frustrating at times.
It does seem rather expensive for all it provides, it costs me money even when I don't watch tv, I have wondered if some sort of pay as you view scheme would be more economical..

I've had BT Vision for a couple of years now, it started off quite crap and crashing a lot but did get better. We also used to turn it off at the wall after use, but things have been great for the last six months or so since we've left the router and box switched on.

If you use it, it's worth it. With five in our house even with restricted telly access (the kids have to do a chore to get some telly time, even the three-year-old - and it's never on for being on's sake) it's been worth it for us. Sky has never been an option for us, the wife it that anti-Murdoch. One day though, one day . . .
