I've got the choice between a ticket to see Buddy Guy at the Bridgewater Hall next Wednesday or a muddy evening MTB ride. Having read about Buddy Guy's performances on Wikipedia I think I've made the right decision to accept the ticket!

    Anybody seen him live?

Yes, I have, a couple of years ago, and he was brilliant. He's an excellent acoustic player as well, which I didn't really know about, and he did a couple of 12 string Leadbelly songs. I'd definitely go and see him again.

I saw him in 1991 and thought he was great.

Well, I was wondering whether or not to go and see a gay reggae band, or have an interesting time with a lesbian, so it's dubby gay, or bummy dyke.
(grabs coat and shuffles out the door)

  8. Buddy Guy most definitely. Go for the bike ride the night before and you'll get both in

    Buddy Guy.

You can go for a muddy bike ride any day - the woods will still be here next week. Buddy won't.

Well, alright, maybe he will, I haven't looked up the tour dates, but you see what I mean...

Definitely Buddy Guy and if you're feeling guilty at missing MTBing, take a bucket of mud with you to throw at him. He's bound to understand.
