Trying to identify the make of my father’s bike, possibly late 1930’s. He was an electrician for LEB and used his bike for work. He covered the frame, originally mid blue and chrome with black paint so as to deter it from being stolen, so ID marks are not evident. However “531 TUBING“ is clear as are faint red chevrons and the initials GA.
ID marks on the bottom bracket are KT229LL and separately the digits 708
My grandmother had the bike made for my father in his teens - he was born in 1924. They lived near Kensal Green, London
I‘m under the impression that Reynold’s Tubing wasn’t introduced until the mid 30’s. If so perhaps that helps with the search. Attached are a few pics. Any info appreciated

I just did a google for "KT229LL" and got: Cobham road, Fetcham, Leatherhead as a post code - has the bike ever "lived"there? Just wondering whether the code was added by the owner?

Any idea if the G.A. on the frame are your father's inititals?

Seat tube decal covers the period from the introduction of 531, to the 50's.

Hi, it looks like G A Cycles, looks a good frame to restore, these 30's bikes maybe a little heavier but the long wheelbase and relaxed angles make for a good ride. Thanks Terry
