We got out of dairy in the late 1960s, when I was about 5, the pigs went in about 1980 and the beef herd was probably 5 years after that.
So I guess a few anguished memories of favourite cows being led away to "market".



, can't remember which farm ... she also did the farm near Bray Lock ... you accessed it just after the railway bridge over the A4 (near what is now a Harvester I think), and one of the Royal herds - she had a very big key to let herself in, in the morning. (I can't imagine they would give out the key these days).


but it can seem strange to have cattle grazing on unfenced common land about 7 miles from Heathrow.
