Bumble bee saved

This morning I went to check on our bird feeders and bird bath and sadly found a bumble bee at the bottom of the bath, I emptied the water onto our wild garden to let nature take its course with the drowned bee, thenabout half an hour later I noticed some very slight movement so we moved the bee onto a flower that was in the sun, another hour later and the bee was definately alive but very lethargic, so we put a little sugaron a spoon and popped the bumble bee onto the spoon, 20 minutes later the bee tried to fly a couple of times and finally flew away, our good deed for the day done

I save bees and other insects all the time. When I was camping last summer, I used to spend ages fishing all the drowning insects out of the sinks at the dish washing block, and I also helped a lot of other things besides, such as the Spider that had made a..... nest?.... In which to lay eggs....... On a toilet wall...... Where it could easily have been squashed, so, I picked it all up and took it outside!

I'm a sort of an insect Mother Father Teresa!!

It just fails to compute with me that some animals are somehow more worthy than others (unless there is a good reason), everything is here for a reason (except seemingly us) and if anyone tells me otherwise, I will instantly brand them a retard, so if you reply saying how daft I am, you are a retard, sorry!

Wasps are here to make everyone scream like girlies and to spray fly spray on them and to nearly choke to death on the fumes from the can.

I don't understand why some people are anti-wasp. They pollinate lots of plants, especially fruit trees, and if bees carry on declining we are going to need all the wasps we can get.

That's as maybe but it doesn't fully mitigate their other less endearing features.

I used to be afraid of wasps, something that a lot of us are brought up with. One day my o/h sat me down in the garden and made me watch some wasps going about their daily business. I no longer have the fear as I understand that they are not vicious stinging machines, they just want to get on with their lives and that sometimes we get in their way and instead of moving on we panic and try to wack the living daylights out of them so if they sting it is just because they are protecting themselves from our attack. Fair play to them, I would defend myself from an attack.
