For those sad individuals thinking Playboy and mansions I'm sorry to disappoint, this is strictly rabbit territory. A couple of weeks ago we decided that our pet rabbit, Jelly Bean, should become a house rabbit. Trying to work out what sort of cage etc we stumbled on this:-

ours looks exactly the same except the panels are black, not white, coated. I also added an extra length of dowel along the top of the front wall. This supports that wall and also acts as a ledge for the opening roof to rest on, negates need for a catch. It really is just a pile of panels, cable ties and a length of 1" dowelling. We haven't bothered with a proper base, plastic tray for a dog cage would be ideal. But we have laminate flooring so just put old bath mats down for a base instead. He's pretty good at using his litter tray, at least for peeing. Here's the savage beast:-

There's definitely evil intent behind them bunny eyes - watch your back!

I should think Jelly Bean is going to thank you come the first frost as he lounges in his condo.

Nice one!

Anyway, the rabbit's cage condo looks like a prison cell!

They'll be bloody sagging next! ;)

I went overboard on the cable ties, one between every single wire, 370 cable ties by a rough reckoning. You can lift the cage as one unit and it feels very solid.

No escape from there, then!

Is Jelly Bean a lifer and in solitary? ;)

he spends a lot of time out of the cage but I do have to consider 'bunny proofing' options. He's a good indicator as to how recently the boys have washed, the dirtier they are the more grooming attention he gives them. Amazing how fast he can chomp through a wire, you only have to glance away:biggrin:

I was going to say 'nice bunny' but ain't they all? ;0) Lovely little animals.

When we've had rabbits in the house we've not kept them in a cage. We let them live in the kitchen with a box to sleep in and a litter tray etc. They are very clean, spotless if they're in the house, and like to to the toilet in the same place all the time so easy to manage.

So my advice would be to think about the minimum you need. Oh and they chew stuff up like nothing on earth! Keep them away from cables or you'll have a fried bunny!
