(Buses overtaking just before pulling-in at bus-stops)
I wouldn't say it's anything like the majority of bus drivers, but this happens to me pretty regularly in London.
I agree, it does happen. Rarely to me in London or the Sticks, but it does happen.
In the post you replied to I was really putting an alternative view to that posed by Baz, who said that the majority of bus drivers did this. I find that proportion wholly inaccurate.
Of those in a position to pass me just before pulling or turning left, I should say that fewer than 5% do this - and many of those are entirely safe. They might elicit a hollering from a Rhyl vigilante, but they don't make me swerve or brake. I quite like making life easy for buses. It feels somehow nicer.
But I agree it does happen and when it carves close it can be irritating or disquieting.
