Its been a poor week on the roads.
Got to town, past the narrow part of Magdalene Street, saw a bus stopped ahead on the left, and ahead of that another on the right, at a bus stop, indicating left ('cos he's stopped and was taking on passengers). I moved out on to the other side of the road to overtake the bus ahead of me, having about enough space to pass him, a dangerous squeeze if the traffic was moving but fine if it was static... and then the bus on the other side pulled away while still indicating left (so, the wrong way to pull out), at which point I had a bus on my left, another in front of me coming at me, and a slippery, wet surface. Damn near came off, span 90 degrees, and managed to stop, by which time the bus coming at me is indicating the correct way.
Bloody idiot, you indicate before pulling out; my mistake, to aim at getting through a gap that might disappear... but a mistake contributed to by the other guy neither understanding what signals are for, nor looking before pulling off.
The helmet camera footage is inconclusive, though. I'll maybe get it on to youtube later.
