LOL, where have I suggested it is dangerous. I have simply disagreed that the practice is "very safe". Filtering is more than just slightly riskier than waiting in line (a rear ending is your only real worry then) as it makes you more vulnerable and requires greater care/vigilance than "most cycling" (which I assume you must think is very, very safe by comparison!).

Does Cyclecraft agree with you that filtering is a very safe practice? If I remember correctly, it discusses ways of diminshing the multiple risks involved and says "great care" is needed...
