Busiest cycling routes in London?

I'm currently looking at various ways into the cycling sector, either through setting up or buying a small/niche business.

Does anyone have any thoughts about how to research the most popular routes (both for commuting and leisure) in and around London? As with any business, location will be crucial, but I'd love to be able to avoid endless hours of research standing by traffic lights with a clipboard!

I'd be really grateful if anyone had any thoughts...

Look at where the Cycle superhighways are being put in.
They are already popular cycling routes and will only get better as they are put in.

probably best to ask that question on LFGSS

I agree that the super highways attract plenty of cyclists.

If you do start a buisiness please bear this in mind. I pass 3 cycle shops on my way into and out of London. All three open after 9am and close at 5.30pm so the vast majority of commuters will never spend any money in the shops as they are never open when they go by.
