Anywhere: The cyclist down bit is no more.
Thought so, although things are a bit blurry through the co-codamol fug. I'll clutter up General Cycling tomorrow instead of derailing the one serious thread I've started in nearly 10 years......

Back to the topic - HSBC here too, only had it for a couple of years though - I used to put everything through my personal account (I'm a sole trader, sell my services not goods, so not that many transactions). But when I asked the Co-op if I could have a second current account to use for business, they said no, you must have a proper business account for that, and by the way you should not be putting business transactions through your personal account.

At the time, HSBC won for fee-free period and lowest charges thereafter (£5). I haven't had any problems and my banking is all quite straightforward, so I can't say what their customer service is like.

No, no, no, once in 10 years is just too little for threads of this quality

Here for rides.
My business accounts are all with Lloyds. Have had my personal account with them for 30 years, it was easy to setup online and only requires one set of credentials across all personal and business accounts to access online.

Thanks all - exactly the sort of non-hysterical advice I was after. I did look at one or two challenger banks and even some fintech non-bank 'providers', but given that I'm not intending to borrow, the established names are probably the way to go.
