Same here - only allowed the 'difference' but the Inland Revenue rule is from home to temporary location. Claiming the difference reduces the business miles to about 20-30 per week
We have electronic expenses and it calculates the route on a map.
Going to work is 1 mile less than the mileage I get on my bike and that's the direct route !
Looked at the map and its saying turn right off the dual carriageway when it's barried for 2 miles !!
In 30 years of living here it has never been any different.
