Busy busy busy

Broke up for the summer holidays yesterday.

Today will be celebrating son's birthday then flying with family to Turkey until Ist August

Catch a train to Plymouth 2nd August arrive St Malo 3rd August pedal to St Nazaire then head east along the Loire Valley for twelve days of patisseries, vineyards, chateaux and other places of interest including artisan patisseries and grand cru vineyards.

Arrive back 18th August. The next three weekends are taken up with Whitby Regatta, Solfest festival in Silloth (a major kilt outing....) and the Flying Gate rally in Herefordshire somewhere leaving around ten days to slot in some Audaxes to try to reach my target of 3000km worth by the end of October - 800km to go.

It will be great to get back to school for a rest....NOT!!!!!....

Why do I work at what appears to be the only school in the UK which doesn't break up until Wednesday? Not fair.

I'm guessing that your offspring are leaving junior school to go to high school.

My pupils were jubilant at the end of school though one or two stopped and thanked me for a great year on their way out - those little acts of thoughtfulness are the ones that make the job worthwhile.
