They are fine. Even I have one.

You're probably best off with the 2.0m or there abouts. 3m is too long and for some devices the shorter ones might end up a bit short (not tv to tivo).

Cheers folks, I've ordered 3 of the 2m ones to begin with, they'll go in the spares box if not needed, but should be enough to get us up and running if cables don't come with the new kit.
