I agree with @biggs682 , it's a nightmare buying jeans with all the myriad choices of skinny, low riser, ass showers etc. I tried on a different model of Levi a few months back (supposedly in my size) and they could surely have only been made with a specific shape of mutant in mind, there's no way there's a human on earth who is that shape.

Cycling thighs do not make for well fitting trousers. I had to get my work uniform in a waist 4" too big because the right size made me look like a dodgy Thai stripper.

I can remember the first pair of Levi's I bought circa 1967 you had put them on and get in the bath to shrink them to fit.

I've never really understood the point of jeans. Poor pockets you can't get stuff out of would rule em out, then add horrible if you get wet in the rain, not very comfortable, absurd prices and not particularly hard wearing. Heavy duty corduroy or moleskin for me.

When I can get a pair, my waist size or even the next size up, that will actually come up the legs. Then I'll consider buying another pair.

Until then I refuse to buy six sizes larger(on the waist) to fit the legs.

I used to buy Pepe jeans as a youngster (cheap from the market) then Falmer if I was in between sizes (they did a size 9)
Now I is an old fat bird, Debenhams come up trumps with either Mantaray or John Rocha

I haven't worn jeans for years, I stopped wearing them when getting the correct leg meant the waist didn't fit and getting the correct waist meant the leg didn't fit.
