You might need to phone your local shop. Be specific about what you need.

Thanks, that's really helpful.

(I've never seen them in a retail outlet, in 12 years of use. Clearly an enlightened retail outlet!)

I've often wondered why the local bike shops don't sell them.

I wanted the "Cross Pads", which are smooth-post canti pads that take road ("Dura") inserts. The only places I could find them were the USA or Latvia - cheaper from the latter as they're in the EU*. Kool-Stop really need to work on their distribution!

* until we get a no-deal Brexit, then everything will be like buying from the USA, with VAT, duty and a £9 Parcelforce surcharge doubling the cost of small parts. Great.

How much does it cost to Oldham?

Cos they're expensive

Spa will deliver in a couple of days.
in peacetime, yes ...
Delivery times have been a lottery recently. I have direct experience of this, and the better companies are stating it on their web-sites.

I was much happier when I collected 3 sets from Spa in Harrogate - 600 hilly miles with badly worn fronts would have been nerve-wracking without spares on-board ^_^
(I also wanted to confirm the details of the wheel they built for me in the autumn - that particular wheel-builder "no longer works here" :O )
