But maybe only in a year given the 2013 model is only reduced that much in advance of the 2015 model? So the 2014 might be lopped in price in advance of the 2016 release! Tend to find the bigger discounts on the last few stock models 2 or even 3 years after launch it seems
Possibly vikster.

I bagged £1k off my £2.5k new/old stock 2012 model in 2013, but the brand is little known & those Cannondales are hot property with the Peter Sagan factor.

In between here and there
Just as an example..
I'm looking at the Cannondale Super Six Ultegra at £2500 on a 2014 model and have seen a 2013 Super Six for £2000 in another shop. Both are new?
So is it a good move, or has it any pit falls?
Worth noting I got 10% off of RRP on a 2014 bike just be asking what the best deal was.

doog

....
It was Paul'scycles I was looknig at, but something else I have just thought of is postage..
Postage from the big company's is cheap to Spain and lots more from the smaller one's or I could pick it up but then that's a trip from Dover to Norwich and return?
Cheers

ahh right, saw the city badge but didnt look at the location..doh

I had a mare attempting to source a 2013 CAAD10 in the UK last year.....even popped into their UK office and they didnt have any..nationwide..I had tried Germany as well but no joy ended up waiting weeks for a bike that didnt turn up , so eventually ended up buying a 2012 model from paulscycles.

At least if they say its in stock you know it is!

I suppose I should really tell you what I'm after.

I would like the bike to be a Carbon, Ultegra gearing and 7.5 kg in weight, I'm was going to spend £2000 on the bike with £500 on a set of wheels.
A few options have come up, but never spot on.

Cannondale Super Six has 105/Tiagra and at £1700 to dear too buy with Tiagra stuff fitted, the Ultegra Super Six is £2500 which seems a big jump just to upgrade but I would have no money for the wheels hence buying a year older model at £2000.

BMC SLR 02 at £1800 is close, full 105 and a 11/32 cassette 8.0 kg (which I could loose a bit of weight with the wheels and lighter tyres) but its a 105.
Cannondale Caad 10 with Ultegra is £1800 good weight and money to spend on wheels but is alloy.
Cannondale Caad 10 with 105 at £1500 but then a £1000 to spend on wheels if I wish but still alloy.
The last option I had thought of is the Canyon SL 9.0 which has every thing all in at £2000 but I dont know if I have the bottle to buy one straight from Germany..
As been said in this thread there are other bikes which are a tad dearer but then I would loose the wheel option.. but with a year older bike I might not?

I forgot, congrats on the Prem League win (that was hard),

BORN RED.

Don't say things like that. It will be taken as a sign of weakness and we will never get the Berties to shut up
