It is a shame to think you're leaving CC because of P&L. I would hope you'd reconsider.

If you do, then there is something that might make it easier; you can exclude selected forums from What's new and View New Content so you can tune-out P&L if you wish.

Click on Signed in as <your username> > My Settings > Forums (tab) > Block Forums

Scroll down and select the forums you wish to exclude (hold down the CTRL key to select multiple forums) then click the Block/Unblock Forums button.

Cheers,
Shaun

It's a bit like giving up the TV because of the soaps. They're not to my taste either.

MacB's one of the worst, frickin' nazi. I occasionally post some deep insight into an issue to which I have very little knowledge and more often than not I'm completely ignored and if not ignored then ridiculed. I ask you, what way is that to treat a time-wasting tosspot?

Don't sell yourself short there 3BM, you're far worse than that

I remember when I first joined CC and posted on P+L without realising the implications. I expressed dismay at the vitriol and was severely reprimanded by "User" for expressing such weakness in the face of the enemy and for being an upstart newbie. I thought for ages that I'd been censured by the person that ran the site! You reassured me that it was always like that and that 'they' didn't mean it... took a while to find out who "they" were.

P&L is mild in comparison to Commuting...

Quite! Why is it that whenever there's an Enflouncement people are very quick to assume that it is symptomatic of some kind of malaise, and that the Flonceur has been systematically ill-treated? It's just a tantrum. People have them when things aren't going their way. especially people who are Wrong A Lot (;)). We all have little hissy fits now and again, and then mostly pull ourselves together. If OTH goes for good, I'll miss him, but it's still just a matter of toys and their spatial relationship to the interior of the pram. Let's not get into another round of soul-searching about what it means, or another excuse to have a go about the bits of the forum we don't personally like. People can always take Admin's advice and use the various blocking and ignoring features...
