In similar vein, try a 3008, also very popular and probably cheaper.
Peugeots are on the banned list - we had a wonderful to drive Peugeot 305 GTi that reached the point, under our ownership, where all the interior plastic age hardened and became brittle and it disintegrated from the outside in. tlh objects to door handles coming off in her hands, and bits of trim wacking her on the head, and then the sunroof started leaking. But what an absolute hoot to drive. Only thing that has ever come close in tlh's affections to my old company Citroen ZX TD... she likes a bit of oomph!

A Ford, a Ford,
4 Wheels and a board,
it might even go if you push it!

Get a Skoda Octavia vRS estate especially if you want oomph with your economy and load lugging capabilities

Too big.

Not a fan then?
What gave that away?
If it's the same seats as you get in the Focus, the headrest position gives me real neck problems. I thought it was work-related until we got rid of our Focus, but every time I'm given one as a hire car it comes back.
Agreed, my father-in-law had a ('56'?) Focus as a company car, for a while
The seats were bad, you could feel your fingers, in your back, if pushed into the rear of the seat
The head-restraints were at an odd angle
- if I adjusted the seat to make my head/neck comfortable, it was too laid back (& visa-versa), with the lumbar support being too prominent in his model(LX?), so it pushed the small of the back forward, leaving little shoulder support, I remember a 'G plated' Escort Combi Van (panel-sided estate car) where I used to work having the same problems

I was looking at a fellow running-club members new vRS (diesel) estate on Monday, & liked it
However, I still prefer my idea of replacing my Octavia, when the time comes, with the 4x4 estate (2.0Tdi/150BHP/6-speed manual)
