Always wanted to do this, but picked the wrong bromtpon (older M3L) ... Not that easy even with 6 speed. Our stops were at Greystoke and Rookhope.. Luckily the weather was perfect.

The bike portage pic looks a bit serious - is it because of a missing bridge?

Seems awesome to me.

Our group of 'lads' is seriously considering doing a weekend that isn't going out drinking given that I'm the youngest and I'm 44.

Talked about doing the C2C and while I have a road bike, two MTBS and a Brompton, I'd like to do it on the Brompton.

Yes, as @mcshroom said, the bridge was down for two years? quite a thrill to cross it with B to carry.

But the descent into tyne and wear the last day was all worth it... Wooohooo!!!
