13 Intrinsic Alpha at £499 - doesnt come with pedals so wouldnt hava clue what pedals to get but like the look of the frame

Boardman Road sport at £450

I am bias towards the 13 . I had a 13 hybrid for 6 months and I love it not had any issues with it .Are halfords stocking yet so you can see it or do you have to order in ?. As for pedals do you ride clipped in or flat they will cost you £20_30 for SPD (clipped in) if you have the shoes and less for basic flats for trainers etc

had a look and the 13 is in says its available for collection at my local. so might give that one a go was initially unsure by lack of any reviews online. Pedals iv never really rode clipped in but could get used to it. in the past always had MTB with flat pedals.

Looks like the OP is restricted to Halfords or independents who take Halfords vouchers

I don't think Halfords will typically source end of line older models on C2W

Also Rutland don't have the Defy in all sizes, Ashcycles do, but a bit more (although still dk what they do C2W wise, not Halfords looking at their site)

Very few reviews on line as 13s have only been available for 6 months and as halfords don't normally hold stock and only order in ,they are quite rare .my Leicester branch had only sold one other of hybrid as of 2 months ago . Is your in stock or available for coolection if ordered in .As for pedals just put some cheapo flats on it and get used to it then upgrade to clipped in if you want to in the future. Its a big decision but go with your gut instinct and for the bike that floats your boat .at this price range no bike is rubbish

Cycling active have been including reviews of the 13 range after the last few months. Quite possibly that one

Felt best spec if right size and they take the voucher on a reduced bike, carbon fork and tiagra, 2 group sets above Claris on the other two
Then the cube, with carbon fork
Then the Scott as only alloy fork

But it depends which fits you best, and makes you smile most

For commuting you'll want to also consider whether they'll take mudguards and possibly a pannier rack if you have stuff to carry and don't want a sweaty back

On that basis, if the felt is not the right size, price or bike, I'd get this one
