cable inners and outers - shimano/decathlon

Brake and gear inners and outers - anyone got any views on quality of decathlon bits compared to shimano?

No idea of Decathlon quality, but in my experience it is not worth skimping on gear cables. They are the most important part of the setup.

If you have the Shimano 11spd it is very worthwhile IME using the polymer coated wires & the designated outers - very smooth and slick - cheap stuff may cause a bit of drag in the system

To clarify, will be for 8 and 9 speed bikes.

They will be as good as any other brand basic cables, but not as good as the more premium products that have coated inners etc such as Jagwire, which are the mutts nuts, but much more expensive

Halfords are doing stainless Shimano gear inner cable for £2.20 at the moment.

They work fine on my 9 speed tiagra and my 10 speed 105 bike.
