I welcome Admin's announcement and agree with the sentiments he has expressed. I certainly post much less in cafe than I used to, partly because of some of the vibes here.

I am sure that Admin is not trying to stop people using the word "bloody", but rather to get rid of threads like the recent one where the OP felt moved to tell us that he was producing smelly farts every 10 minutes.

So lets think positively about how the vibe in Cafe could be improved, and look at what works well now. The Tea thread isn't my cup of tea (pun intended), but still strikes me as a good example of how a group of like minded people can use Cafe to echat without offending anyone else.

Similarly Noodley's posts - including his excellent Friday night is music night series - are always fun, engage in plenty of banter, but never put other posters down.

It was becoming a bore to find so many threads being steered in the same crude direction. So it all sounds fair to me.
