I am sure that this is partly a question of how much and how often, and I suspect that few women would be offended by the occasional "Which female singer/film star/cyclist do you fancy" thread.

Indeed I seem to remember that some of our esteemed lady members started a lively "hot men" thread a few months ago.

Fair enough, I think I'm getting too detached from my feminine side. Too many long, stressful hours at work methinks!

Spot on.

I've noticed that 'hot men' threads tend not to last long. I don't know if this is a comment on the difference between what men and women look for in a partner in general, or whether it merely reflects a skewed sample of women on this forum, whereas the male members represent better the whole gamut of male attitudes. I know that personally, although I can drool with the best of them, there are many other more important qualities in a man.

Thanks for the reply.

Fair enough, if it makes you feel uncomfortable then it's completely unacceptable and I'd like to apologise profusely to you and any other female forum members who I may have offended with my participation in such threads.

I'm not too much of a "blokey bloke," but can be a bit guilty at times so I shall cease any such behaviour immediately.

I've got the kettle on, anyone fancy a cuppa before I hit the oh-so-tedious turbo trainer again? (gives me an excuse not to get on it ;))

Tea, yes please!

I don't think you have anything to apologise for. The occasional blokey stuff is fine, it's just when it starts to take over, and some people seem to lapse into it more than others.

Could you power the kettle via the turbo?

I fear everyone would've died of thirst by the time I'd put enough power down to boil it...
