I've just reading a book written by one of our local councillors and environmental people, and one of the many things that made me unlikely to read any more novels of his was a lack of editing that allowed the word 'Chiwawa' to be used for a small breed of dog.

The others included characterisation akin to caricature, and a whopping deus ex machina ending - no need to actually think it through, just wallop in a last minute surprise fact!

I wonder how many layers one could construct, just from shop bought pies of difference sizes - topped off with a teeny tiny cocktail pork pie, of course!
