I made an appointment with a friend recently.

We were at my house and I opened my Google Calendar on my phone and he proceeded to do what I thought was the same.

But no, he actually had photos of the current and next months pages of a wall hanging calendar on his phone!

We agreed a date which he would then transcribe onto his wall hanging calendar at home at a later time.

I was surprised at the strange-ness of this method and tbh, I thought that the wall hanging calendar was well and truly a thing of the past.

What do you use and why?

Google Calendar here. Simple functionality, portable, reminder functions and synced with Mrs SD's to avoid double booking dates, etc.

I use both! We need to be able to select multiple options.

Google calendar is my main tipple, but I have a trad wall calender in my music room/office for key stuff.

We use both. I have Google calendar on my phone and PC, but my wife prefers paper, so she has a diary, and we both transcribe anything necessary onto the hanging traditional calendar in the study.

Online but NOT Google (I value my privacy) so it's encrypted so even the server provider can't see what I'm doing (ir the cloud provider does not have the necessary keys to decrypt).

Because I'm working, everything goes into works Outlook TBH, but my life isn't that exciting so if I pop 'leave; in there I know what it is. I don't have many 'social' appointments...boo hoo !

Being well retired I dont have many appointments so use a traditional wall calendar. Page to a month and either bird, wildlife or scenery.
I also have a 'day to a page' diary on my coffee table for the appointments I do have.

In the kitchen, & a truck calendar upstairs

Dogs 'self selection' ball-rack too
