I keep suffering from a recurring calf strain from my preferred forms of keeping fit, running and circuits (cycling is my preferred form of transport). I am wondering whether I can still cycle without aggravating it or whether I should rest it completely. The answer I want to hear is that I can still cycle with it, and I am likely to disbelieve any other answer.

Me too.

You should be okay continuing with your cycling as different activities use different muscles groups.

I stop running for a few days but still commute by bike and the calves have no problem healing.

I've recently invested in an ice thingy from Boots. Just been to see the physio too, who has prescribed me a lot of exercises to loosen my calves up a bit. I need to massage the calf a bit more too.

Massage, massage, massage away to prevent injury .
