So ,, am I going on my summer holidays tomorrow or is it my spring holidays.
Cant say I have ever heard of spring holidays.

Here's a pleasant ditty from the Style Council, dealing with the passage of the seasons and personal growth and development. It's a lovely song, I think.

Wrong again. Summer starts 21 June till 20 September. Fact.

"Permanently" here means that the daily averaged temperature has remained above or below the limit for seven consecutive days. This implies two things: first, the seasons do not begin at fixed dates but must be determined by observation and are known only after the fact; and second, a new season begins at different dates in different parts of the country."

Interesting, it shouldn't suprise me that if your livelihood depends on the optimum conditions to sow/harvest your crop then you are probably not going to plant it on the same date every year.

Not in Scotland. Here we only have 2 seasons: the cold rainy season and the warm rainy season
