Calling all aquarists.

Has anyone seen this whispy stuff that's attached to the top of my plants?

I know the water's due a change, but I've never had this before.

It's algae of some kind. Pick as much as possible out and do a decent water change.

I think it's a horrifying alien and that you should be very respectful to your new overlord.

It it recurs, keep the tank in complete darkness for a week after a clean - put a towel or similar over it. It should prevent it from growing back again.
