Calling all Londoners (and others) - Blackfriars Bridge 12th of October 6pm!

Does anyone know how long is it likely to last? I'm due at the V&A at 7 for some postmodern snoozefest (I'm only going for the free wine and canapes ) that I'd forgotten all about.

Last time we started off from the pub at about 6:15 and got off the bridge at around 6:40 (times from somewhere approximately in the middle of the crowd) The police arrived near the end of the ride to stop other traffic at south end of the bridge to get the rest of us off the bridge as soon as possible, I sort of expect them to close off the bridge from the start to usher everyone through rather than stop at the traffic lights.

Not so sure about filtering, but there's always the pavement.

Coolies, and thanks for the replies. That sounds like it should be do-able. I really don't want to miss tomorrow as I've missed the last couple and I can't really waste the tickets for the V&A either.

But boycotting is itself a form of protest. Therefore one might argue you have been meta-protesting?

Certainly happy to be a meta-protestor. Or a 1 man protest against group protests... but I really think the Blackfriars Bridge gathering is worth while, so yes - see you there.

I did say hello to the droid....and got him on cam...I'm a Droid groupie!!!!

Really good turnout had to be somewhere between 500 and 1000 people there (although I'm useless at estimating numbers of people) I'm uploading some footage of the event now, should all be up by tomorrow.

Great ride home, (drafting behind you!) I was impressed with just how much you comunicate with the traffic.

I always feel adrenalin rush being around so many cyclists. This evening was no difference. I hope that as we stood, we were counted...
