Calling all Nexus 7 owners.

I just think you lot are lucky to still be able to use your nexus tablets at all.

Mine died because I could not charge the f^%€& . My mate's is going the same way and forums suggest it is a pretty common fault.

I'm not upgrading again, after downgrading it back to KitKat it feels like an improvement, better UI, faster, intuitive!

It's all in that link, I downloaded the tools requires from the Linux Mint download repository, and followed the instructions on the page. I downloaded 4.4.4 under Factory images for "Nakasi" nexus 7 Wi-Fi, because that's the 2012 version I have.

Mine is still barely usable even after 5.02 and several minor 'Android Upgrades'. I'm still planning on getting back to KitKat.

If you have a laggy Nexus 7 then try going into settings, then choosing developer options and then switch it off.

I sold my Nexus 7 to my cousin and bought a Windows tablet.

Another lucky one here, I've had no issues with the upgrade.

And I haven't had any problems either. I did do a factory reset though so that may have helped.

Wow, thanks for the tip .. I will have a look - but the word spudger has me foxed, so I dunno if I can handle one or not!

A spudger's just a plastic tool with a point at one end and a flat edge at the other. It's used to prise the back off.
