Could you please give me a run down on this prescription please.
Told I have astigmatism but mild and shouldn't really get worse .

Is this enough to get glasses for or would readers be OK?
Also are lenses generally included in frame price?

I was right about that saddle
I'm no optician (but my brother is)

What I do know is...
You have the prescription but you don't have the measurements, opticians don't have to share them.
You can take this and get another optician to take their own measurements and use the prescription part to set you up with glasses.

For me - I take no risks with my eyes for everyday use - and I will get a proper pair every time.

I have however bought some "off the shelf" cycling specs (to my prescription) for when I'm out and about (I am of course contradicting my previous sentence)

Cant help with your question but ive been for my eye test today, and need stronger for both reading and distance but I expected it, what I didn't expect was for them to find a growth behind my left eye which needs further investigation at Liverpool eye hospital

If they’ve taken them, and they form part of your record, they do. They may try the suggest they don’t but they’re wrong.

When Specsavers tried that line with me they learned the hard way...
I presume that as with most medical information the data belongs to the patient.
