Get off the M4 jct 5 and leave it near Langley train station. Take the train to Paddington and jump on the tube network.
P.M for more info as i know that area and work/drive in London. Often use the M4

We need more info for a defintive answer to your conundrum. There are lots of places you could leave the car, but it depends which part of London your going to.
For example - parking near South Ruislip (safe as i used to park my car there) and jumping on the Central line will take you to Marble Arch, Bond Street, Oxford Circus etc

Both of my suggestions would work. If you try and get much closer ..

A) permit parking
B) yellow lines
C) car is vunerable as the areas are not the best

If your taking the family, i would choose Ruislip as it's less changes, but if your taking the mrs, then Langley would be better. Also means your on the right side of town when going home

He is coming down the M4 - hence my suggestion of Langley main line or South Ruislip on the Central line

I just had a look. 3 of those markers are nonsense unless you get there at 6am, and one suggests you park "on" the track

OK, so District Line rather than Piccadilly.
Can change onto the District line at many spots along the Piccadilly, just do it at a station  Check TFL for weekend closure nonsense
