FNRttC Cambridge to King's Lynn Friday 22nd August 2025

Registration is now open for the Cambridge to King's Lynn night.

Important change from previous years - the midway stop is not WWT due to rising overheads, they're unable to support the ride.

Instead we're using Christchurch Community Centre, a village a little further on.
Due to issues with finding scouts (or similar) it's going to be a DIY affair. The refreshments fee will cover hall hire, hot drinks and cake. Bring your own sandwiches, potted meats, horn of cornucopia etc.

That's cool - I think that covers the main requirements. Roof over head, dry (probably warm), hot fluids to revive tired/cold bodies - job done!
(Everyone has different tastes with food, so they can bring their own.)

I'm certainly hoping for warm building, working toilets and running water too 🤞🏻😃
I'll be going over on the Friday afternoon to pick up the key and drop off supplies. I may have a helper to go ahead to open up and get the heating fired up.

Sadly I won't be able to ride back to Ely since friends are having a wedding party back in MCR and my presence is required.
Sweaty cycling clothes are not permitted..........

Epic Ride Weather’s early prediction is ’feels like’ down to 12°C overnight (around 3-4am) plus some mists. Mostly tailwind. Based on recent weather, you’ve probably got more chance of picking winning lottery numbers than an accurate weather forecast.
FWIW I’ll pack a jacket, and leg warmers.
