Yes that's just what I thought, but I'm glad you said it not me- I seem to pi*s the locals off around here enough just by getting up in the morning.

BTW- I'd be interested to know which route you take back to god's own county. Mine's probably a slightly more westerly route than yours but I tend to do Burwell -Iselham-Prickwillow-Wissington- Marham-Narborough-West Acre- Massingham-Syderstone back to my folk's place near Fakenham. It's almost entirely B or C roads and bloomin' great- once you've crossed the border of course ;).

Cambridge - Cottenham - Wilburton - Wentworth - Coveney - Little Downham - Pymoor - Welney Wildfowl Refuge - Ten Mile Bank - Denver - West Dereham -Wretton - Stoke Ferry - Oxborough - Cockley Cley - Swaffham - Home.

This is why I can't relate to all the horror stories. I've had no abuse whatsoever cycling in Norwich, even when I'm fairly sure I deserved it (unless you count being beeped at once). In fact, the only time I've had a really dangerously close pass was when I left the county ;)

yep. Norwich, is in general pretty good! Had a few nasties, but in general it's pretty good

Nice route. Not far away from mine - a bit further west I guess. I've done the Stoke Ferry - Swaffham bit before and love that bit of road. Always see barn owls along there. With my route, I discovered a handy (tiny) bridge over the river at a hamlet called Little Ouse. Nice deserted road into Norfolk and away from (just east of ) the A10.
