Took a drop kerb too sharp and went down like a sack of spuds.
Helmeted head hit the tarmac (dent now in helmet). Also hurt wrist, hip, shoulder and took a chunk out of my knee.
Suffering a bit now with aches and pains, but not as much as my pride was at the time (I went down right in front of a postman). Must say I felt like a right twazzock. He though, was quite helpful and held my bike while I inspected myself.
Bike thankfully is fine; bit of a graze on the right shifter but I can live with that. It could have been much worse (especially since the bike is not yet one month old).
It was quite surreal - I knew that I was approaching the kerb too sharp a split second before I took it. Perhaps my bracing myself in anticipation saved me from more injury. You live and learn.
