Moved over from road biking to mtb & moved over my cages along with the bottles between bikes, however going out on the mtb seemed to mean that each time I went for a drink I would get a mouthful of mud, or I had to spend what seemed an age getting rid of the mud, which still tasted like mud when I'd done that.

Whilst in Decathlon they had their own hydration pack on offer so I bought one, quite happy with the unit. I find I'm drinking a little bit more which might be a good thing, but the only thing is although the water now tastes like water & not mud, it is warm. I'm presuming that as it's on my back & not in the airflow my body is warming the water up, is this normal & are there any options available?

I did actually consider this, I also put it in the freezer for about 30 minutes before I set off, to find that the tube had frozen solid & I couldn't get anything out ROFL
