Can anybody tell me if these normally have a hellicoil insert in the main body where, they are bolted to the seat tube clamp?

Hi what I would generally do is head straight to their US site and look up the technical section. If you know the year it helps, e.g. for 2008 models pg 37 of this document has the component diagram.
