Campag to shimano free hub swap?

Hi,

Been looking at getting some decent, but cheapish wheels for this "rainy season" we have been having.

Seems there are alot of campag wheels about. Is it easy and cheap to swap a freehub from campag to shimano?

Depends on the wheel.

Mavics go for around £25 used on eBay. Others you may have to buy new - anything up to £80 depending on the make.

Most are pretty easy to change over if you are reasonably ok with fixing things and the wheels weren't built by a sadist who tightened things up to the limit.

Make sure you identify the year of manufacture and match the freehub as some makers were prone to changing the spec.
