Does anyone know the reason Zondas are 100g heavier on the rear wheel for the shimano option over Campagnolo ?

No personal knowledge, my zondas are in my loft unused, but I've seen quoted online that the splines on the hubs are different and the shimano cassettes cut up the hubs more so they make a steel freehub. The campag design does not cut up the hubs so much so they can make it from alloy.

Same factory, zondas are generally cheaper about £230,I prefer fulcrum,,I just don't like the word campagnolo,on my shimano equipped bike!

Remove the campag stickers then - simples

I'm pretty much definitely going to get some Zondas. Although it does irk slightly having campag on a shimano groupset. But I'm really not that bothered!

My old wheels will now be my winter / dun run wheels!

I have Zonda's on my summer bike and Mrs D has Fulcrum 3's on hers. I'd buy either again, whatever was cheaper.

If you can afford them now, get them from Halfords while they have their 20% discount offer. Currently shown at £292.66 which translates to £234.13 to pay after the discount with free delivery or reserve and collect from either Ipswich branch.
